About This Seminar

This seminar teaches treatment of neurological conditions and pain disorders using Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture (ZSA).

The course is designed for Acupuncturists specialising in neurological care and those interested in the scalp Acupuncture and Daoyin method for pain and nerve conditions.

What This Seminar Covered

Neurological Signs & Symptoms

Disturbance of consciousness, motor/sensory/speech disorders, autonomic dysfunction, cranial and peripheral nerve lesions, radiculopathy and CNS disease.

Neurological Conditions

ZSA techniques for myelitis, Guillain-Barré, shingles, meningitis, encephalitis, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's and cerebral palsy.

Pain Topics

Pain types and treatment, needling principles, head/neck/limb/spine/organ pain, and Acupuncture anaesthesia.

Pain Conditions

ZSA techniques for musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neuropathic, peripheral nerve, joint and visceral pain.

The Presenters

Prof Ming Qing Zhu

Founder of Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture. Graduated in 1964 from Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine. Demonstrated an innovative hemiplegic stroke treatment at the 1987 Beijing International Conference.

Dr James Lu

Direct disciple of Prof Zhu and Director of Zhu's Neuro Acupuncture and Rehabilitation Centre. Licensed Acupuncturist and Physical Therapist with more than 20 years of experience in orthopedics, stroke rehabilitation, balance disorders and pain management, with a doctorate in Physical Therapy and a Master of Science.
