Learn Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture the way it was handed down.
One lineage, learned in order, with your hands guided. Taught by Dr Ru Shan Shy and Dr Sheng Chun Chang, two direct disciples of Professor Ming Qing Zhu who teach every hour of Basics. Basics is three days and 19.5 CPD points.
Start where you are.
One trunk, then you choose your branch.
Everyone starts with Basics. Then you choose the Advanced courses that match your clinic. Guided Clinical Training sits alongside them as a clinical internship, open any time after Basics.

Scalp Acupuncture isn't one system
There are around ten schools of scalp Acupuncture, each with its own zone map, and they were never unified. Mix two maps and results become hard to repeat. If you've struggled with scalp Acupuncture before, this is often why.
Order is what makes results repeatable
Assessment, then zone selection, then needling, Dao Yin and reassessment, each built on the one before. When you know why a treatment worked, you can do it again.
Supervision shortens the learning curve
About 40% of each Basics day is hands-on, with Dr Shy and Dr Chang correcting your needle depth, angle and technique. Guided Clinical Training then puts you with real patients while they watch. Fewer years of trial and error, and fewer mistakes along the way.
Guides to Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture.
Professor Zhu built it. His disciples teach it.
Professor Ming Qing Zhu spent decades developing Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture. Dr Ru Shan Shy and Dr Sheng Chun Chang trained under him directly, and so did our founder, Dr Scott Ling. Both hold graduate training in neuroscience, and both direct the Zhen Ding Shan Chinese Medicine Clinic in Taiwan. What they teach is what Professor Zhu taught them.

Where Basics runs next.
Do I have to do the whole journey?
No. Basics is a complete system on its own, and you can use it in your clinic from the following week. Guided Clinical Training and the Advanced courses are there when you want to go deeper.
What do I need before an Advanced course?
Basics first. Guided Clinical Training is separate: a one-day clinical internship you can take any time after Basics. The requirements for each Advanced course are published with its dates.
Which Advanced course should I take first?
The one that matches the patients you see most. Each Advanced course focuses on one clinical area. The requirements and format of each course are published with its dates.
I learned scalp Acupuncture somewhere else. Where do I start?
With Basics. You'll recognise parts of it; what's new is learning one complete zone map in order, with your hands guided. If you completed Basics with another teacher or provider, the Speaker Switch reward takes 10% off your registration.
How is it taught?
Dr Shy and Dr Chang teach in Chinese with English translation throughout. Each seminar page sets out the language, hours and CPD points for that course.
